Reader favorite things 2024 coming at you today.
Greetings! I hope your holiday season has been wonderful, friend. We had a low-key Christmas and New Year’s full of family and friend time, and that was just what we needed. I feel like I had plenty of afternoons at home just chilling, which is not something I get to do very often. Also, thank you so much for all of your love, comments and support from this end-of-year post.
I’m happy to be back with you today talking about you and your reader favorite things. What I love about this list of reader favorites is that literally all of the items are things I use religiously in my own life (and/or are on my wish list). I don’t share these things just for a click, I share what I find and what works for me.
If you’re looking for some staple pieces for your closet, take a look at what I’ve got below and see if there’s anything you need.
Thank you for reading A Lady Goes West and for trusting my recommendations. Let’s get to the list of reader favorite things …
These reader favorite things are listed in order of popularity …
1. Target Women’s Day Blackout Tights
I purchased these blackout tights before our trip to Germany. I wore them there with the faux leather mini skirt mentioned below, and I’ve since worn these tights about 10 times, always with boots and a skirt or dress. I can’t believe these were the bestseller of the year that I suggested, because even though I love these tights, I didn’t talk about them a ton. But hey, I guess we all need some good tights. Shop the Target Women’s Day Blackout Tights here.
2. MZ Wallace Black Medium Metro Tote Deluxe
You know I love the MZ Wallace brand of bag so very, very much. I’ve mentioned this brand a million times, these bags always end up on my gift guides, and I have about six of them already. I use an MZ Wallace bag most days of the week. While I don’t actually have this particular size that topped the list of bestsellers, it’s one that I want to have, because I have the same one in the larger size. I know these bags aren’t cheap, but they’re just so good. I literally want them all. Shop the MZ Wallace Black Medium Metro Tote Deluxe here.
3. Reebok Nano X4 Training Sneakers
The fact that these sneakers are on this list is no surprise, I’ve been recommending these sneakers (in various iterations) for maybe five years. While I do have a second style of sneakers I wear sometimes, these are definitely my most worn. I just debuted another pair too (I buy them in multiples when they’re on sale). If you need a good cross-training sneaker for group fitness classes and weightlifting, look no further. Shop the Reebok Nano X4 Training Sneakers here.
4. Vuori Daily Pocket Legging
I’ve spent a lot of time in Vuori activewear the last two years, and I’ve definitely shared about that. These Daily Pocket Leggings have been a staple for me, and I have them in two colors. I can wear both a small and medium and probably prefer the fit of the medium. By the way, these are less than $100, which is always a steal for quality leggings. Shop the Vuori Daily Pocket Legging here.
5. MZ Wallace Black Lacquer Crosby Bag
This little bag is the cutest thing to fit just the essentials, and it’s another MZ Wallace item that’s on my wish list. I love the lacquer shiny fabric, and I have an MZ Wallace pouch in the same fabric. Most of my MZ Wallace bags are larger, so this one would make perfect sense to add to my collection. Shop the MZ Wallace Black Lacquer Crosby Bag here.
6. Petal & Pup Peta Floral Tiered Dress
I bought this affordable feminine day-time dress over the summer and wore it a handful of times for fun activities. It’s a soft fabric, it’s flattering, and it feels great to wear. I’m in a small in this dress, and I’ll pull it out again once we get through winter. Dresses are my favorite thing to wear in spring and summer, of course. Shop the Petal & Pup Peta Floral Tiered Dress here.
7. Lulus Darling Daisies Floral Print Midi Dress
This dress was on my list of reader favorites last year too. In fact, I bought this last year, and it’s still available on the Lulus site, which is great. I’m in a small in this dress, and I’ve worn it a ton of times. It can be dressed up or down, and I love that it’s been a popular item for you too. Shop the Lulus Darling Daises Floral Print Midi Dress here.
8. Rag & Bone Serena High Waist Wide Leg Jeans
I bought these super-light high-waisted wide-leg jeans in the fall, and I immediately fell in love with them. I’ve worn them to holiday activities, to sporting events, around Germany and more. I’m in a 27 in these, and they run a bit loose. By the way, these are the softest sweatpant-feeling jeans I’ve ever had! Shop the Rag & Bone Serena High Waist Wide Leg Jeans here.
I bought this fitted faux leather mini skirt in the fall for a concert, and since that time, I’ve worn it on maybe five occasions. I even brought it to Germany and wore it there with the blackout tights shown above. It’s fitted, not too short, not too tight and can be dressed up or down. I’m in a small. And the price is so right. Shop the Old Navy Fitted Mini Skirt here.
10. Mizzen + Main Leeward Dress Shirt
A men’s item! I’ve recommended this type of dress shirt on two separate gift guides for guys, and I’m glad some of you have tried it. This is Dave’s favorite brand of non-iron machine washable dress shirts. Shop the Mizzen + Main Leeward Dress Shirt here.
11. Everlane Micro Rib Long-Sleeve
I love getting my solid basic tops from Everlane. This brand has transparent pricing, and the products last and last. I’ve had a number of Everlane cotton shirts for years, and they still look great, which is why I’ve recommended them a ton. I wore one yesterday and put them on all the time with jeans for casual look. I wear a small in Everlane tops. Shop the Everlane Micro Rib Long-Sleeve here.
12. Kendra Scott Heart Necklace Layering Set
I love this adorable layering set, and I need to put it on more often. Kendra Scott jewelry is totally affordable, and it always looks good. This set makes a great gift (and it was gifted to me by Dave). Shop the Kendra Scott Heart Necklace Layering Set here.
13. Treasure & Bond Pima Cotton Sweater Dress
I literally just bought, wore and posted this dress a couple days before Christmas. I love a good sweater dress, and this one is flattering and feels casual, yet fancy. I’m in a small, and I see myself wearing it a ton more. It comes in multiple colors, and I’m tempted to get the black one too. Shop the Treasure & Bond Pima Cotton Sweater Dress here.
14. Petal & Pup Lauren Lace Overlay Dress
I bought this reasonably priced dress over the summer to wear to a friend’s birthday cocktail party, and that’s the only time I’ve worn it. I posted a picture of it on Instagram and got so many questions. The lace overlay makes it feel and look different, and there are some slight cutouts in the lace in the mid-section, but they aren’t too revealing at all. I need to find a time to wear this one again. It would be great to wear as a wedding guest. Shop the Petal & Pup Lauren Lace Overlay Dress here.
15. MZ Wallace Black Large Metro Tote Deluxe
Yes, this is a different bag from the one mentioned earlier! I had no doubt that MZ Wallace bags would make multiple appearances on my reader favorite things list, because they are truly part of my favorite things too. I have multiple styles and sizes, and this particular one — the Large Metro Tote Deluxe — is the perfect gym bag or even carry-on bag. It has a set of shoulder straps and a crossbody strap too, and it fits so much. I could own it in five colors and still want more. Shop the MZ Wallace Black Large Metro Tote Deluxe here.
And that’s the list of 15 reader favorite things. I’m a creature of habit and always shop at the same places, support the same brands and wear the same things a lot. If you tried anything I suggested above, I hope you loved it too.
Thank you for stopping by A Lady Goes West to read today. Have an amazing day, my friend. See you back here soon. 🙂
